God is Moving Ministry was founded July 25, 2021.  The Rev. Dr. Major Brown III communicated with his wife Margie the vision God had given him about starting a new church that would be virtual.  This would be a church without the building.  Actually God revealed this vision years ago when he was called into ordained ministry in the United Methodist Church, revealing that he would be an evangelist.  Then the pandemic came in 2020 and the vision was reborn after God gave him the experience of virtual ministry.

 

Margie exhorted him to act upon God’s vision that was shared with Rev. Dr. Karen Simmons-Palmer who also concurred.  The vision was then shared with some prospective members, a few family members and friends, who also concurred.  Thus, God is Moving Ministry was born. 

 

God is Moving Ministry is a Word Church focused on bringing God’s Word alive in the world through service, worship, fellowship, prayer, and holy living.  It strives to be a church of agape love for all people with expressions of kindness and justice, especially for the poor and needy.
